The Guarantee Trust Institute of Business (GTIB) is a provider of nationally registered tertiary qualifications, including National Certificates and Diplomas. GTIB employs a blended learning approach, combining online and home study with in-classroom tutorials. We schedule these tutorials to accommodate the preferences of both full time and part time students.

Guarantee Trust Staffing Solutions is a professional recruitment agency specialising in the accounting and financial sectors.

Launched in 2016, we build on the experience and success of our sister company, Guarantee Trust Corporate Support Services (GTCSS).

Guarantee Trust Corporate Support Services (GTCSS) was originally formed as a unique company that was solely focused on delivering Work-Readiness/Bridging Programs. These programs give applicants real work experience in a simulated environment and access to employment.

In 2003 Kevin Wakely-Smith, Joint MD of Guarantee Trust, came to the realisation that universities and colleges in South Africa were turning out graduates that were ill-equipped for the job market. He found that graduates would come out of university with a good theoretical knowledge of Law, Accounting or Economics, but when it came to the job market, they were nowhere near ready.

Since then, we have also applied our experience and training methodology to private and public sector training in the Skills Development field.

Creating sustainable employment

More than 8,000 students have gone through the Guarantee Trust work-readiness programs over the last 12 years and 90% of them have been successfully placed in jobs.

That’s a track record virtually unmatched in South Africa over this period.

Bridging programs for access into employment

The Bonani Program



The Bonani Program is a Work-Readiness Program designed for the accounting industry. Graduates either have a National Diploma in accounting or a BCom Accounting as minimum qualifications, with accounting 3 and taxation, before embarking on the program.

The Virtual Bank Program



Applicants for this skills program must have completed a 3 year tertiary qualification with majors such as banking, financial accounting, economics, business economics, financial management, BComm marketing or accounting or economics as an additional major or similar.

The Post-Matric Program (Post-High School) is a Work-Readiness Program designed for the banking and microfinance industry. Applicants for the Post-matric program must have a matric certificate with Accounting, Maths or Maths Literacy and English as core subjects.
